OVERVIEW
About the Armani Home Accounting project
Armani Home sells both online and in its showroom. This software unites the two: an order placed on the website becomes a sales invoice tagged "website sale", and a sale in the shop reduces the same product's stock on the website.
Alongside accounting, inventory, cheques, banking and payroll, features specific to this business were built: driver dispatch notes with cash-on-delivery conditions, the driver uploading a photo of the cheque or receipt at the door, an SMS delivery code for the customer, cheque due-date reminders and step-by-step follow-up of customers who arrive from Instagram.
Challenge
Furniture is expensive and bulky, usually delivered by a driver, with part of the price settled at the customer's door by cheque or card. If money or a cheque stays with the driver unrecorded, it is easily lost. At the same time the website and showroom stock must match, so a sold-out item is not sold online.
Solution
A two-way link between the website and the software keeps stock in sync in real time. Each delivery is handed to a driver with a dispatch note and a private link; the delivery code is not sent to the customer until proof of payment is recorded, and the cash or cheque stays in that driver's name until it reaches the till. Every step is recorded with accounting entries and a full audit trail.
