OVERVIEW
About the Slidestan project
Slidestan is for the student, teacher, pupil or employee who is short of time for a presentation. Presentations are organised into university, thesis defence, seminar, proposal, school, business, business plan and template categories, and buyers see the slides page by page before paying.
The store keeps thousands of files in specialist categories, from medicine and health to Islamic studies and management. A free files section, a presentation-skills magazine and a discount newsletter turn visitors into regular customers.
Challenge
A file buyer's first question is «what is inside the file?». Building previews by hand for thousands of presentations is impossible, and downloads must open only for the buyer. Every file also needs a page that can be found on Google so a student finds exactly the topic they are looking for.
Solution
A background worker converts every presentation into slide images after upload, so a full preview sits next to the product without any manual work. After payment the file is available in the buyer's account. Every product has its own page with a description, slide list and structured data, and categories and the magazine cover the most searched topics.
