OVERVIEW
About the Avin Tools project
Avin Tools is where people go for small but frequent daily tasks: creating QR codes and barcodes, reducing image size, turning images into PDF, converting Persian and Gregorian dates, calculating age, gold prices, BMI and dozens more. Every tool has its own page and works instantly without sign-up.
The site was designed bilingual from the start: 69 Persian tools and 60 Arabic tools, including tools for Arabic-speaking users such as the Arbaeen walk calculator. Tools are organised in 10 categories — QR codes, images, PDF, date and time, money, calculators, text, religious, pilgrimage and utilities — and a global search takes users to the right tool in a few keystrokes.
Challenge
Online tool websites are usually either slow and full of ads, or each tool is a thin page without explanation that never shows up on Google. The challenge was to build dozens of tools of the same quality, keep heavy work such as image and PDF processing from slowing the site down, and give every tool a complete, competitive page in two languages.
Solution
The project was built as a modular monorepo: a core for calculations and validation, a database layer, external service providers and two separate apps for the website and the background worker. Heavy file jobs run in a processing queue so the website always stays light. Every tool has a practical guide, sample input, FAQs, its own share image and structured data, and "similar tools" links keep users on the site.
