OVERVIEW
About the Avin Bana project
Avin Bana is where contractors, builders and home owners see today's building material prices and buy on the spot — from waterproofing membranes, bitumen and thermal insulation to cement, plaster, brick, blocks, tiles, drywall, paint and installations. A daily price board shows market changes in one place.
It is a multi-seller marketplace: material suppliers list their goods and buyers see several sellers' prices for the same item side by side. Bulk orders come with an official invoice and delivery to the building site, and a calculator estimates the materials each job needs.
Challenge
Building material prices change every day and buyers usually have to call several sellers to find the best price. Purchases are usually bulk and need official invoices and coordinated delivery to site. The system had to be simple for buyers and manageable for many sellers.
Solution
The system was built as separate applications: the buyer website, the admin panel and a background worker. Each product can carry price offers from several sellers and the daily price board is built from that data. Products are searched instantly with a dedicated search engine and calculators estimate the materials for each job.
