OVERVIEW

About the Hyper1 project

Hyper1 is an online supermarket made of four parts: the Android customer app, the web version of the same app at hyper1.ir, the shop owner's admin app (Android and web) and a central server that connects them all. Customers sign in with their mobile number, browse products by category, see weekend deals and best sellers and pay for their order online.

The distinctive feature of the project is the dynamic home screen: without a developer and without releasing a new version, the shop owner rearranges banners, category rows and product rows by drag and drop, and the change appears instantly on every customer's phone and on the web.

Challenge

Local shops usually need a developer for every small change in their app, and publishing a new version to the app stores takes time. We needed an app whose look and content are fully controlled from a panel and that runs smoothly even on low-end phones.

Solution

The home screen is built from sections defined on the server — single banner, slider, category row and product row. The customer app and the admin app share one codebase for Android and web, and the Android versions are published with the shop's own signing key.

The Hyper1 admin app lets the shop owner arrange the whole home screen of the customer app without a developer: move sections by drag and drop, switch them on or off and add a new banner, category row or product row. Price, stock and status of every item change with one tap.
