OVERVIEW
About the Karbalad project
Karbalad is a services marketplace that connects customers with the right professional nearby. A customer can post a job so professionals send offers, or send a request directly with an instant order. Professionals sign up, verify their identity and find new customers.
The platform covers on-site services such as plumbing and heating, electrical work, appliance repair, cleaning and moving, as well as digital and remote services such as programming, design, digital marketing and translation.
Challenge
In a services marketplace, search has to work by location and expertise at the same time, professionals and customers must hear about requests instantly, and every city and service needs its own page to be found on Google — all without the site becoming slow or cluttered.
Solution
The platform was split into three independent parts: the customer website, the admin panel and a central API. A dedicated search engine handles fast text search, a spatial database handles location search, and live connections deliver real-time notifications. Files and images are stored on S3-compatible object storage.

The value we created
Karbalad has the infrastructure of a national marketplace: adding a new city or service category is a single setting, and its searchable page is generated automatically. The same architecture allows a mobile app for professionals to be added without rewriting the server.
